BHARGAVA RESIDENCE, FRIENDS COLONY
This was an existing single-storey property on the main Mathura road.
The entire ground floor was renovated to add an entrance verandah and natural store landscape features. The exterior was uplifted in a rustic yet contemporary fashion.
The stained glass windows gave the entrance door a royal touch. The interiors are full of natural light and breathing spaces. The glass proportions take the light to the most interior parts of the house.
The guest spaces carry on into the family lounge and then into the more private parts of the house.
The kitchen is airy, bright, functional and entirely in white.
A huge opening was created between the kitchen and the family lounge to give the lady of the house, who cooks herself, a feeling of unison with the family members.
The clients chose to have colourful walls to liven up the spaces.
The terrace and balconies have yellow terracotta tiles with heritage design.
Every bedroom flooring and toilets were done as per the personal choices of the occupants.
