This plush apartment was designed for a simple elderly couple who wanted to spend their old age together in the security of a gated complex. The dynamic lady of the house knew exactly what she wanted and we worked together to create a simple and elegant home for their old age.

The huge 5000 sq.ft same level house, was designed as a 4 bedroom plus study.

An entrance Foyer opens on to a smaller foyer to the left, which leads to the Living Dining, The Master Bedroom, Study and the huge balconies. The other 3 bedrooms are on the right side of the entrance foyer, giving the requisite privacy to the personal spaces.

The design is fluid and non-obstructing. The house was kept simplistic and monochromatic in tune with the occupants of the house.

 

The exclusive peach- colored Breccia Onniciata marble was chosen for the flooring all over the guest areas.  All bedrooms were done in wooden flooring.

The false ceilings are minimalistic and as high as possible to give a beautiful volume to the large living room.

 

The powder room has the Breccia Onniciata in continuation with the lobby. Silver motif tiles add opulence to the powder room.

 

The very spacious kitchen has additional space for a dining table. The Kitchen opens on to the Utility balcony, and the servant quarters.

 

All toilets are simple and monochromatic .Travertine stone was used on one wall and floor of all the toilets. But, the tiles vary in all toilets giving the requisite exclusivity to each toilet.

 

This house exudes calm and positive vibes, and now is home for three generations of the Kapoor family.
